Professor Xu won the Best Paper Award, The 6th Annual meeting of Society for Serviceology, 2018. http://ja.serviceology.org/events/domestic2018.html/ Reason for selection:We formulated and tested a model to improve the motivation of nursing care service providers and enhance the independence of care recipients. This model used variable nursing care fees paid to nursing care service providers according to the degree of improvement of the state of long-term care required by care recipients. We then proposed meaningful policy recommendations for reducing the national fiscal burden related to Japan's aging population.
