Dr. Donghao Zhu joined the University of Tsukuba in April 2026 as an Assistant Professor in the MBA Program in International Business at the Graduate School of Business Sciences, Tokyo Campus. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research and Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich in 2023, and previously served as a Project Assistant Professor at the Institute of Statistical Mathematics and a Visiting Scholar at the University of Tokyo Market Design Center. He earned his M.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Tokyo.
Dr. Zhu's research focuses on operations optimization and market mechanism design, with the goal of improving the efficiency and fairness of service systems and the digital economy through mathematical modeling and artificial intelligence. His work has been published in leading journals and conferences, including Transportation Research Part E, ACM EC, and WINE. His research emphasizes both theoretical rigor and practical relevance for managerial decision-making and public policy in this digital era.
